No Spatial Reference System after Merge tool
User try to convert an orthophoto (GeoTIFF) with spatial reference system to ECW via Merge tool in Context Capture Editor.
The problem is that after this conversion, the spatial reference system become unknown coordinate system.
How can the user keep the original spatial reference system after the conversion?

Need help exporting a georeferenced raster
Hi.
First of all, my available software is the following, so please feel free to move my question if it does not fit in Descartes topic:
-Microstation
-PowerCivil
-Map
-Descartes (for Microstation)
Is there any possibility to generate a georeferenced raster from my CAD model? There are a number of ways and formats available if I want to attach a georeferenced file, but I have not yet found a solution for exporting these files.
The only solution I have succeeded with is exporting a PDF with georeferencing enabled.

Reconstruction of point cloud in ContextCapture

I want to obtain 3D model from point cloud data, *las format. But some tiles is failed and and tiles that have been completed are not displayed in 3D view

Adding Custom Coordinate System from Microstation/Map
I have a dty file with custom coordinate systems that I use in all the microstation based Bentley programs, such as Openroads, Microstation, AECOsim, Descartes. This is achieved by adding a variable in the config file to add the dty file into the geographic system library. This creates a new Custom Coordinates folder in the library. How do I make that coordinate system appear in the library of Context Capture.

I want to show models on a website and integrate the viewer. Unfortunately, all the descriptions I found are not sufficient. Who has done this before?

2, the entire production folder is on the web server

CC update 11 failed to run CC master
Hi,
after updating to CC 11 and run the new licencing tool, i'm not abble to run CC master. Everything was ok in the licence management tool but when i try to run CC master nothing happen !
After uninstall CC 11 and go back to previous CC10 with older licencing tool everything run ok.
What is the problem with the new licencing tool ?

ContextCapture Master does not open after update to 04.04.11.60 version
After installation and activation of ContextCapture CONNECT Edition x64 Update 11 - 04.04.11.60, software does not open.
When clicking on CCMaster.exe nothing happens.
ContextCapture Engine, Settings and S3C Composer working fine.
what could be the problem?

Context Capture : Ubiquity
Apparently one of the top ten reasons to use Aecosim is that you never have to start with a blank sheet.... given that geocoordination and reality meshes are built in.
I know, a bit of a marketing spin... but it would be interesting to explore how far you could push this premise.
What if the file open process was more Google Map-like. The user does not only only have to declare a Workset but has to geo-locate the dgn.
Connect would then search out all available contextual (public or private/project bound) data available and offer it up as potential Ref attachments. This would include any mapping, GIS etc etc data.
Forcing the designer to work in context from the outset will be a big change from the incremental 'blank sheet' first inception that is traditionally been the case.
I can see clients and project teams hiring someone like Agency9 to provide 'digital twins' of the area around the project to boost situational awareness, collaboration and productivity through 'findability'.
This would extend to big public competitions like Milan Farini. A digital twin would get a lot of exposure... especially if it could benefit from a reality mesh to make it visually compelling (or de rigueur for the internet public these days). Maybe Bentley should send Agency9 down to Italy and fly some drones around for a couple of days? It would be great publicity, and give Connect / Mstn invaluable exposure.
Pick the top five architectural competitions and provide a freely available PW Share Workspace. At the very least, it would help highlight Mstn's strengths in all those multi-platform firms...

GCP Error & KML Constraint Fix
Hello all,
After a lot of trial and error, we managed to produce a 1.2sq km model of Downtown Dubai but we still face a couple of challenges with regards to GCP's and using the KML Polygon for the water surface as you can see below.
During the AT phase, the GCP report showed all 7 points in the green and a quick check of the tie-points in 3D view showed the points to be where they were supposed to be and the Z values were within range as well. However, upon completion of the entire model (took 5 days) I noticed the z values on a couple of points were off.
In the photo above, the GCP was placed on the manhole. However, there is some floating mesh above on which the Z value for the GCP is correct. As a result, the Z values of the entire quadrant is off by around 2m. Is there a fix for the above without having to re-do the entire AT and reconstruction? The mode consist of 15 tiles and took 5 days.
I have attached the Log files and Survey data for reference if it helps. Appreciate any suggestions/recommendations!

Context Capture Workflow - WGS 84 ellipsoid - Update 11
I am trying to figure out if there is an error in my workflow or if there is a step I am missing in the software. The error that I am seeing is the final elevation about 200' off.
Workflow
Load photos from test capture area (central Indiana) into ContextCapture Update 11 - 4.4.11.60
Change GPS altitude to WGS 84 ellipsoid because Sea level is not what I want to use as a reference. Now the pose metadata is closer to the elevation of the test area. As you can see in the screen shots below the photogroup pose metadata has adjusted to WGS 84, orthometric height (MSL), geoid EGM96 and the 3D view shows the same. All good.

I do not have an GCPs at this location because it is just a test. I set the Block type to Vertical under Additional data because the capture was done all top down. I then move on to aerotriangulation.
The Positioning\georeferencing setting I leave at Use photo positioning metadata for rigid registration because I want to use the pose metadata I just adjusted or advised with inaccurate metadata (I could be wrong here). I also change the Preset under Settings to Keep camera calibration because I have calibrated the camera of my DJI M210 using CC.

I let the aerotriangulation complete but do not get the results I expected. The processed images look great in 3D view but the pose metadata is not what I set in the beginning. It keeps changing to WGS 84 (EPSG:4326).

Sure I can change the pose metadata after aerotriangulation but that does not pass thru to the 3MX which results in being 200' off. I realize it is not exact without GCPs but just trying to make sense of why the GPS altitude setting I set did not apply.

Mesh Model ERROR
hi everyone
ı do it mesh model from stereo photos. but ı have one problem.
my coordinate system is ıtrf96.
if I using photo position in ITRF format I don't have problems with modelling.
but if I use photo positions in wgs84 format, mesh model does not occur.
couldn't find out where I made a mistake

Does anyone have tablet use in mind for the webviewer?
I have opened my model after uploading it to a server and if I try to use a tablet it is constantly trying to move the entire screen while I try to rotate or pinch and zoom. Is there a touch version that keeps the window static while trying to view the model on tablets?

Acute3d Webviewer - Firefox menu not working?
Hi everyone
Successfully deployed the 3mx model and can happily view/navigate etc using Chrome and IE.
However no luck with Firefox. Everything looks fine, but when you click on the menu item (top right) the list does not appear. It's unusual because you can click on the maximise screen button and that works.
Any help would be great.

Do you require a license for CC Viewer
In the past I could download the CC Viewer and install it locally on a number of my clients computers to view 3D models. Now under Connect services it seems that I have to connect to the hosted server and validate a license to run the viewer. Is this correct and if so why the change? How can I provide 3mx models to third party clients for viewing. I realize that I can publish web models but many of my clients do not have reliable internet access
